It's written by Tim Powers. It's like David Suzuki writing about Jay Hill - it'd have some bias in it.

Not all Laraque coverage is bad.

Also in the Globe, Jane Taber writes a fairly positive piece on Laraque: Tough guy Laraque just a gentle green giant.

Taber takes criticism from all sides accusing her of being partisan one way or the other. Powers is openly a CPC mouthpiece.

I'm not sold on the wisdom of the Laraque appointment but I've decided to keep the specifics any qualms I may have in the members-only discussion.

Good coverage for Georges!

Yes, that was an excellent piece in the G&M!

I see that critics in the blogosphere have begun to take some criticism regarding pieces written about Georges.  I say nonesnse.  His elevation to Deputy makes him a political animal now.  Having said that, for me, I'm a big fan of Laraque.  And that's why I'm concerned.  I don't want to seem him crash and burn.  And without the resources to do the job as stated, which is help our brand in Quebec, I fear that's where this all might be headed.  That task is bigger than just one man, even if that man is Georges Laraque.

Laraque - Members Zone

Yes, Taber was kind! I tweeted that one. I've kept most of my substantive comments on this appointment to the Members Zone as well. In a nutshell though, it appears Mr. Laraque wasn't ready or prepped for this appointment.

Welcome, Georges Laraque!

The best offence is a good defence!  The Green Party of Canada has great ideas toward a sustainable future for our country, now we need to get out the vote... and thanks to your help, our profile is quite a bit higher now.

Good for you for standing up for what you believe in!  I hope the rest of Canadians do the same when the next election is called.  It's time to 'stand on the place where we live,' like the song says, and make sure that our votes are counted.  Not strategically, or combined, or seperated, but each of us to vote for what is in our hearts!
