The Harper Conservatives once again fails to tackle the real problem. The real problem with the backlog of Refugee Claims is a lack of resources and convoluted processes.
If we were truly committed to providing a sanctuary and fresh start for refugees, we would invest in having properly resourced, efficient and effective processes. But this government chooses, once again, to do a quick fix which appeals to the prejudices of its core members.
Like Harper's approach to child care, crime and social justice, it is doomed to fail!
