Biological Thermodynamics by Donald T. Haynie

This landmark book has a good description and analyis of the krebs cycle and photosynthesis,  full of theory with biological applications and enough detail to make it applicable and thought provoking.  unlike so many other texts, it doesn't focus on industrial polluting processes,  it focuses on pollution free natural symbiotic processes,  that seem in total to break the second law,  in the sense that negative entropy is produced,  life is produced and sustained.  which strict adherence to the second law rules as impossible.

The fundamental tenet of the 2nd law of thermodynamics is misconstrued and lied about by some physicists and the military,  it is true that energy is not destroyed,   but it can be amassed and entropy is given back to some environment,  indeed feeding entropy to the incorrect environment is probably the definition of war.  It also has ramifications for predation,  especially higher up the food chain,  and also for deciding what is a healthy mechanism for getting and using energy, and where the 'poo' and 'pee' have to go and how they have to be treated to prevent harm to the environment.

Just went for a hike today and found the hidey hole of the teenagers from the high school, who are smoking dubes and leaving a lot of trash behind.   Someone needs to get them to start cleaning up after themselves.

C3I (military acronym for command , control, communication and intelligence)   causes post traumatic stress in some soldiers who still have some humanity and resist some orders out of compassion for a human being.

I learned about it first from an ex-SAS commando who could hear the colonels.  Maj. Gen. Lewis Mackenzie is a good man and was in charge of Nato forces in croatia-Serbia, etc...

Americans still use lasers and microwaves to attack and disorient the civilian and enemy populations, they also have cures.   Many aboriginals in fort mcmurray have been victims of some pretty sharp frequency pulses,  and this induces fear and makes them compliant against their will.  I think its a crime.   The oil companies and car companies have been doing this for quite a while, the situation is improving,  some military hospitals have been doing it too, notably sunnybrook which was a 2nd world war military hospital.

Some people say chi is blood,  but it is not, some people try to feed off living flesh to get chi.  many corporations generate chi with sex.    not enough chi and you get sick,   too much and you get sick too.

We need public policy issues around all of this, with regard to aboriginals or better said , indigenous peoples.

The movie avatar,  the cartoon,   and health care. Soylent Green, Star Trek and the Borg.....  so who is human, and who is under the control of the super computers and their high tech weapons and mind control schemes.  who is allowing healthy free will, and who is a robot, who has creativity and a connection with nature, and who is 'supernatural', and who is artificial or merely an apparatchik. Whose a predator of life energy criminally,  who is funded to be a predator for the government or a corporation,  who is involved in the healing arts,  and who are they preying upon to heal someone else for a fee.  Is the fee money, or is it a pound of flesh like shylock, and is the fee known about by both parties, if not one of them is a victim of the system.  The hypocratic  oath should be reviewed not the hypocritic oath.  UT uses too much artificial intelligence and lasers in its medicine,  but how can they cope with the malaise of the worst of TO or any large city for that matter. Are they working with links to the department of national defense,  or are they linked with the military or corporations, especially drug companies, and are they creating dependence on oxycotin,  anti-psychotics, etc...

are they involved in making public policy decisions, that dump entropy on large segments of the population without warning them,  then preying on them when they show up at emerg or the doctors office.

I would urge medical doctors to think carefully about the mental power they wield and their ability to convince a patient that they are or are not sick, and to take into account the social context and environment of their patients.  Rename patients clients, and support client rights.  The wait times need to be reduced too.

The 2nd law is misconstrued as absolute because quantum mechanics admits that both matter and energy can spontaneously appear in deep space, dance for a while and interact,  maybe even leave behind a particle or a photon, then redissappear into the void.  The Kobe space satellite observes the edge of the universe by observing the cosmic microwave background,  as light and space are created at the edge of the expanding universe,  energy is created, and so is space and time.  What exactly is on the other side is not known, and if there are other universes out there beyond our boundaries is not known,  but seems likely.  Also conceptual time travel is possible,  picking the concepts from the past or generating new ones that fit the bill to solve the problem at the moment its needed.  Hawking and Leonard Susskind probe these questions in the Black Hole War.

It seems to me that we have 100s of 1000s of years to explore the existence of the Higgs Boson, the so called God Particle,  but we may have only 4 years to save the oceans and all life in them from the point of no return.

Unless the God Particle,  like in Tom Hanks Movie Angels and Demons can have a bearing on human relations and get us moving towards the correct climate change goals,  we should focus more of our intelligence towards building systems that will repair the CO2 , NOx and SOx problems for all concerned.  And pollution and entropy in general.  In India,  there are the four castes,  the lowest the untouchables seem to be the garbage collection group there, and entropy is dumped on them from on high, and that is how the elite in India perform magic.  We need to understand that they make something out of nothing,  although the nothing isn't nothing, its the poor and unpriveliged with no pedigree or education who are ignorant that they are being dumped on.  This is the fundamental problem of humanity.

Satellites only glimpse a part of the atmosphere and surface of the planet.  There are sophisticated surveillance and imaging modalities, but they are not microscopic in their detail, as MRI is not nanoscopic,  at some level they fail to see all the molecules and atoms, and fail to see their joint quantum wavefunction,  so there is uncertainty due to the uncertainty principle in quantum physics and signal processing.  Similarly,  these very small interacting gas atoms, can propagate up bubbles of activity to meso and macroscopic levels like rain clouds, and moisture in the atmosphere reacts with consciousness on the planet as Sanskrit scholars have revealed.  Consciousness can also interact with insects and larger mammals like whales, dolphins, dogs and elephants,  even larger cats (think Mac OS).   Satellites can only take time averaged snapshots of the atmosphere or time specific snapshots optically,  due to signal processing algorithms , wavelets, and older time averaging algorithms (filters).  Thus they cannot get a true picture of the true reality at any given moment, and cannot predict more than 14 days ahead without some human interpretation of macroscopic emergent phenomena.  Just like predicting what a hurricane will do when it hits land is not an exact science,  regardless of computational power and constant observation and updates.  Chaos theory and numerical limits and lyapunov exponents and time and space and sense of fear or elation cannot be fully calculated by computers of any computational ability.  There soon will be quantum computers,  but they will be limited too in their ability to observe , feel and sense the true exterior underlying reality.  The buddhists and their sense of emptiness or nothing and the sanskrit scholars who believe that zero is not nothing all have something to teach the west.

for these reasons,  satellite and super computer analyses of climate change should be looked upon with suspicion, as they contain so many lines of code and modules that no small team of people can fully comprehend their veracity. There may well be many mistakes of code and math. We need to rely on common sense, and reduction of complexity and understanding of emergent phenomena like clouds.  No computer algorithm can predict or fully comprehend the hydrological water cycle,  yet the human mind can pick out turning and tipping points if well prepared and educated and with intuition.  Convincing people who have misconceptions or mental illness and fundamental religious attitudes is the problem.  The weak points can be assessed with the human mind and brought to consciousness and communicated.  Models are still useful because in their construction,   which factors are relevant or irrelevant come to mind and numbers placed on their energetic magnitude, the eigenvalues, etc.... show what factors or dimensions are most important in describing variation in the system.  But the weather system is nonlinear,  so linearizing it is a very very crude approximation that only holds for small regions of time and space, and does not take into account the quantum reality.  So calculus might fail us here ultimately.  We need insight and questioning, and intuition and communication.  The oakridge data on CO2 increases and the economist and UN data on energy consumption and what types and new technologies assessment all need to be continually reviewed as do the state of the oceans and water pH and oxygen levels and concentrations of chemicals in these systems.  Vast reaches of our planet are yet unmeasured and in microscopic detail unknown.  The interactions of these unknowns will shape the future.  we need simplified center of mass calculations of emergent and present phenomena and need to consider how they change with different economic and political and military circumstances globally, and under what array or mix of new technologies from solar to CO2 capture and conversion or sequestration,  acidity mediation in the oceans, etc....   what if we stop mining and using coal in the US, in the US and China?, globally?  or use it differently by converting it to methane?  Don't get me wrong,  some satellite data is very useful, especially about heating and about phytoplankton measurments in the ocean.  They are down 40% since the 1950s,  ie. 40% of the food web in the ocean has contracted in this time,  so its not all overfishing.

We need ways to replenish the phytoplankton in the ocean which has become depleted due to acidity in the ocean and temperature warming..

The conservative government is not interested in acidity mediation in the oceans,  only the production of fuel from algae or the STEP process.  Their only concern is getting more energy, and not the entropy or mess that it leaves behind.  This has been officially communicated to me by people at NRC,   in the subtext, not explicitly.  They admit no risk in this agenda.  It is deplorable.  We need to follow sweden and norways examples more.
