"No special treatment for tar sands" editorial by James Hansen, published in today's Toronto Star
An excellent editorial, "No special treatment for tar sands" published in today’s Toronto Star, written by American James Hansen, who was one of the first to bring the climate change crisis to the attention of U.S. legislators back in the late 1980s. Mr. Hansen makes some very interesting observations about Canada’s role in confounding international co-operation on reaching greenhouse gas emission deals, and about how our government continues to confound Canadian’s desire to take action on climate change.
It’s this kind of third-party observation that makes me proud to be a member of the Green Party.
