Margaret Wente is spinning--again. I urge you to write a letter to her and/or The Globe and Mail, to let them know we haven't stopped caring. I also recommend Climate Coverup, a new book by the folks at DeSmog Blog--was favourably reviewed by Nature. You can see Wente's column here:

Margaret Wente
This should be expected. We (the GPC) continue to mix anthropogenic climate change with social inequity.
We have not a situation where anyone involved in climate science who is shown to have published politically expedient research, can be used to stigmatize the entire movement. All flaws in all ACC research can be viewed under the socialist lens of a conspiracy to transfer wealth, or to punish western economies, or whatever.
This will continue while we insist on such juxtaposition of two separable issues. The juxtaposition also greatly slows down progress. The lack of progress makes it easier to ridicule potential progress, since no one gets to experience what the progress could be, and hence it remains scary.
Ms. Wente's column should be a wake-up call that not everyone cares about climate change, many are skeptical about whether it is real, but even more would cut off their nose to spite their face if they thought climate change could only be stopped by a socialist wealth transfer.
