Confusion and consternation in Copenhagen

I am in Hopenhagen and waited 5 hours this morning in very cold weather but could not get registered, in spite of being pre-registered by the CANet. I intend to complain at the Canadian Embassy tomorrow hich is about 1/2 block from here.

The consolation is that I have discovered an excellent alternative Climate Conference and will be listening to George Monbiot tomorrow afternoon. Today was BillMcKibben, founder of 350.org, followed by the presisdent of the maldives (remember, those guys who had a board meeting in scuba gear?). Desmond Tutu was ther on Sunday but I found out too late.

Canada continues to receive embarrassing Fossils of the Days. Although, knowing the Harper/Prentice twins it is probably a source of pride to them. We really are a world failure, ablocker, an obfuscator and mendacious to boot. I guess Harper realizes that his support base in Calgary would evaporate if he ever deviated from his paltry 3% below 1990 promise (which he has no intention of ever even meeting anyway).

One last thing: on the plane here I read a fantastic book called Climate Cover Up by James Hoggan. Read it and see just what depths the Friends of Science et al can plumb.
