Ron Mazerolle

Ron Mazerolle is a bilingual 57-year-old keenly interested in environmental issues. Although he has occasionally worked outside the Miramichi area, his home has always been here.

Ron is an electrician and has worked in the electrical/electronics field all of his working life. He started his career as a television repairman and gradually moved into the electrical construction trade. After working in construction for several years he entered the teaching profession and taught electrical block release and later electronics in the community college system. For a short period he operated his own electrical contracting business. Ron worked in the frigate program in Saint John as an electrical planner then moved on as a maintenance supervisor at Heath Steele Mines in Miramichi, which has since closed. He spent 15 years as a maintenance electrician/technician at a paper mill in Miramichi – also since closed. With the lack of work in Miramichi he headed west to Alberta, where he worked for a year and a half in the tar sands as a quality control supervisor in the electrical trade. After coming back home Ron has worked various jobs from maintenance supervisor to doing electrical construction.

Ron has also operated a part time business selling and promoting composters and composting toilets. He has published several articles concerning composting, and composting toilets.

Ron and his wife are musicians and entertain the elderly twice a week. He has written many poems, songs, short stories and a couple of screenplays. He also does amateur sound recording and has produced music for a movie sound track, which he enjoyed very much, and is considering doing that full time.

Ron is married and has a daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters. He looks forward to serving you as a Green Party representative, promoting a sustainable environment for our children.

Ron Mazerolle is the nominated candidate for the Green Party of Canada for the riding of Miramichi.
