Brome - Missisquoi
Born in Cowansville, Benoit Lambert is a nature lover and holds a longstanding interest in international issues. He immediately knew what he wanted to do at a young age. He has conducted studies on Latin America, traveled the world and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Benoit holds a PhD in regional planning from a historical perspective. He has
authored writings on Cyclopolis, new town - a contribution to the history of
political ecology.
Benoit has taught at the School of Business at the International University in Geneva. He was editor of the Worldwatch Institute publications in French between 2002 and 2008 (www.delaplanete.org).
In 2005 Benoit was invited to draft a report on the effects of subsidies and industrialization on the fisheries sector in Sénégal, which coincide with his teachings on sustainable development and international conventions on the environment. Since 2007 he has developed somewhat of an expertise on the Kyoto Protocol and on the nascent carbon credits.
Back in Brome-Missisquoi, he developed a business- Biochar Generation. Their mission is to produce renewable and environmentally friendly soil whose many benefits are permanent- biochar. He is the father of a daughter, Anouk.
Benoit Lambert is the nominated candidate for The Green Party of Canada in the riding of Brome-Missisquoi.
