Honoré-Mercier
Originally from the Rivière-des-Prairies area of Montréal,
Gaetan Bérard has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from UQAM and a
Certificate in Public Relations from The University of Montréal. He finally
moved on to be the founder of a recyling business.
Gaetan Bérard has been heavily involved in his community as a member of the administrative
council of a Mexican traditional dance troupe and as the coordinator of host
families for The Global Youth Days in 2002. He is also tremendously involved
with his community newspaper Le Babillard de RDP.
Mr. Bérard lived in Mexico for four years, where he owned two homeopathic
pharmacies. He published three directories of economic and community resources
for the state of Jalisco. The aim of these directories was to support the
development of local communities and improve access to resources.
Gaetan Bérard ran for the Green Party in 2008. For him, his involvement with The
Green movement is a way to live in harmony and respect all the beautiful living
things that surrounds us. Mr Bérard believes in healthy and sustainable
development for future generations. He wants to provide a viable alternative
for East Montreal.
Gaetan Bérard is the nominated candidate for The Green Party of Canada in the riding of Honoré-Mercier.
