Laurentides - Labelle
François Beauchamp was born in Ascension. Father of three grown children and grand-father of three girls, he has worked since 1986 as a greeter at the ZEC Stone House located in Ascension. He studied science and took courses in agricultural technology.
Visionary, observer, and idealistic to raise awareness of the environment, his passion for nature is undeniable. His work for the protection of our natural environment has manifested in several ways. Growing up on his parents’ farm, François was aware of the importance of living in a healthy and organic environment. Like his parents, François quickly implemented environmental practices such as composting, gardening and recycling in his life as well as planting over 40,000 trees on his parents’ farm.
Extremely active outdoors, François is a member of the Foundation de la Faune du Québec since 1992, Director and President of the Society of Horticulture and Ecology of Ascension for 7 years and a member of the Committee Environment of the Red in 1994. He also represented the DMP in December 2008 and March 2007 in Labelle County.
Along with fighting for our environment, François will fight to achieve a stable economy and will defend green jobs, seasonal workers, councelors, volunteers, caregivers, cooperative systems and citizen participation. Most importantly, François believes in finding an optimal solution for meeting the needs of present generations without compromising the quality of life of our future generations. If we only use our planet for capital gain, it won’t be around much longer for future generations.
Through his extensive environmental path, he feels the need to be more involved by presenting himself as a candidate in the riding of Laurentides-Labelle. He wants everyone to support the next Federal Election to help advance Québec and Canada become a better world.
The Green Party offers a new alternative for those who are tired of the old political ideas, who want their voices to be heard, for those who feel they have been deceived by our political parties and have now, lost confidence. In 2008, there was a huge hit to democracy; over 40% of Canadians did not vote or rather they had no one to believe in to vote. François believes that the Green Party is a choice of vision and a voice for those people. He hopes those who believe in positive change will turn to The Green Party on Election Day.
Vote strategically and make your vote count, vote for your future and your children and grandchildren. Vote for The Green Party of Canada. Now, that's a real winning strategy.
