Outremont
François Pilon was born on April 14th, 1956. He has been living in Côte-des-Neiges since 1980. In 1986, François decided to work for himself; it was the beginning of a new era in his life. He started “Corde à Linge” in Montréal and has since been known as Mister Corde à linge. Thanks to his thousands of contacts and clients, he began to understand the complexity of Canadian and global politics.
François has been a hard worker his whole life and is grateful he has the most valuable of all things: his health. He believes it is unfortunate we can't say the same about Canada and our planet, since most major government decisions are based on short term interests, such as City Administrations having to negotiate with real estate owners in order to maintain ecosystems.
Although he is a big disbeliever in conventional party’s values, François doesn’t believe in preaching a revolution, he is just an ordinary guy who is tired of all the scams and double-meaning speeches from politicians. He could have given up and done nothing, but he chose to fight for improvements in our government and towards a better quality of life.
The Green Party has a long term vision in terms of our role as a society. François strongly believes in this mentality. He believes in the future, for he is forever optimistic. His contribution to the Green Party is a way to promote awareness to all. He wants people to understand what is at stake. François decided to get involved in The Green Party because he believes the generations before us have lent us their planet, and there will come a time, when we will be obliged to pass it on to the next generation.
François Pilon is the nominated candidate for The Green Party of Canada in the riding of Outremont.
