Tomy Bombardier

The eldest of three children, Tomy Bombardier was born in Racine in Val-Saint-François. From the age of 13, he worked on a farm and discovered the value of working the earth. From 17, he was active in the Association of Young Rurals (AJRQ) of Valcourt, where he held consecutively the positions of director and treasurer for several years.

Tomy studied at Cégep Sherbrooke, and in 2001 he completed a college diploma in electrical engineering (information systems). During his studies, he participated in the pastoral life of the Cégep and took part in a group trip to the Dominican Republic, during which he shared the local culture. He was involved in the Outdoor Club of his Cégep, organizing activities and trips with his classmates. After finishing his diploma, he participated in the World Youth Congress in Cologne, Germany.

Since 2002, he has been improving his programmer/web analyst training in the private sector in Sherbrooke. This region is close to his heart, and in 2008 he settled in Saint-Denis-de-Brompton with his spouse and new baby girl. Family is a very important part of Tomy's life.

A passionate gardener, Tomy is currently working on an agricultural project in which he hopes to apply the principles of sustainable development and respect for the earth, while sharing the fruits of his labours with his community. At this time of clear environmental choices, he joined the Green Party, through which he works to preserve his world for future generations.

Tomy Bombardier is the nominated candidate for the Green Party of Canada in the riding of Richmond-Arthabaska.
