Saint-Hyacinthe - Bagot
Johany was born and raised in Saint-Hyacinthe. She is a St.
Hubert employee and quickly formed an environmental group within the
company for all issues related to managing an environmentally friendly
restaurant such as the reduction of water waste and recycling. Initially, she
could not go very far given the lack of cooperation with the municipal
collection of recyclables. Therefore, Johany would often use her own car to
fill recyclable materials and distribute them into green bins in her
neighbourhood. Due to her persistence, her employer eventually decided to
use a private company for recycling services. Since then, The St-Hubert chain
gradually introduced recycling in all of its restaurants.
Johany has always paid great attention to the Earth. Even as a young girl, she
always picked up garbage and sorted the materials appropriately. She was always
concerned about mankind's consumption level.
Since the birth of her son, her primary goal has been to leave behind a better
quality of life as a legacy to her son and future grandchildren. It is her
belief that we're all important, here and now, but they too will play their
roll in their turn.
Johany chose to represent The Green Party of Canada in this year’s Federal elections
because she believes that people need to understand the importance of the
environment that is outlined in the Green Party's platform. Johany is a woman
who knows how to respect the Party’s values and goals and who is dedicated to
communicate them to her fellow Canadians.
Johany Beaudoin-Bussières is the nominated candidate for the Green Party of
Canada in the riding of Saint-Hyacinthe - Bagot.
