Thomas La Pierre
Thomas La Pierre, 46, married and a father of two girls, is a freelance writer. He began writing for television in 1988, and has since worked on more than 900 episodes, in both animation and live action, in a wide range of capacities such as writer, researcher, story editor, associate producer, translator, consultant, and supervising producer.
Thomas has been commissioned to write over 200 scripts, and has story edited and co-story edited over 500 episodes of animation. Mr. LaPierre has worked on productions in English and French with clients in Canada, Germany, Brazil, France, England, the United States, and China. Since 2008, Mr. LaPierre has written 2 animated feature films that are currently in production, written for and story edited 52, 11:00 minute episodes of the animated television series ‘Walter and Tandoori’ (on Radio-Canada, Sundays at 9am), and has written book 1—PATH—and book 2—ARRIVED—of THE CLOUD, a series of 10 novels for young teenagers.
Thomas was President of the Roslyn Home and School Association for 6 years, is a volunteer soccer coach with the City of Westmount, has sat on the board of directors of a publicly funded daycare, and SPEC (The Society Promoting Environmental Conservation), and was a member of the Writers Guild of Canada’s negotiation committee, participating in collective agreement negotiations between the Writers Guild of Canada and the Canadian Film and Television Production Association and the Association des Producteurs de Films et de Télévision du Québec.
Thomas La Pierre is the nominated candidate for The Green Party of Canada in the riding of Verchères - Les Patriotes.
