Aaron Cameron

Aaron Cameron is running for the Green Party of Canada in Beaches East York out of the desire to make a difference in the community and to promote positive change in Canadian politics.  He is committed to promoting environmental sustainability, electoral reform, and inclusive political behavior.

Aaron spent his childhood in the Beaches following the French immersion path – attending Adam Beck Junior Public School and Williamson Road and Glen Ames Senior Public School. He started the hockey program at Ted Reeves Arena at age six. At age seven, Aaron began figure skating lessons at East York Arena to help hone his hockey skills following in the footsteps of his childhood idol, Wayne Gretzky. He eventually left hockey and continued to figure skate competitively into his 20’s.

Aaron went on to receive a degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Political Science and Economics. It was there the seed of politics was planted. When finished his formal education, Aaron went on to spend a year in South Korea teaching English to Koreans of all ages – from pre-kindergarten to advanced adults. While in Korea Aaron was given the chance to help in the cleanup of the HT Hebei Spirit oil spill. It was this experience that solidified his green political interests.

Aaron currently works in commercial real estate for a major downtown brokerage and is a member of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. He is also involved with Bluebird, a unique non-profit food art exhibition.

Aaron Cameron is the nominated candidate for the Green Party of Canada in the riding of Beaches - East York.
