Paul Baker

Paul Baker got involved with the Green Party because he wants to make a difference. He believes that fresh water and clean air are rights for all. He knows that our current society is not sustainable, and that we must make changes to leave our children with a happy, healthy future.

Paul was born in Toronto and has lived most of his life there. He is married, and has a daughter who attends the local high school. A graduate in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph, he has worked in the food industry for most of his life. He’s the President of his local Residents’ Association, and has been active in local politics, campaigning for City Councilors and provincial and federal members of Parliament, because he believes that if you want change, you have to work for it.

Paul knows that positive ecological choices are also positive economic choices. Toronto needs municipal infrastructure, sustainable industry, and smart growth to prosper as a city. We shouldn’t wait for a crisis – economic, environmental, or health-related – to act. We need to build the future now.

Paul Baker is the nominated candidate for the Green Party of Canada in the riding of Eglinton--Lawrence.
