Eric Shelley
Eric Shelley is a twenty-three year old student in Pre-Health Sciences at Georgian College, and lives with his family near Tiverton, Ontario. He has been steadily employed in the food services industry, and has volunteered using his web design and technical expertise with local sustainability non-profits and the Huron-Bruce Green Party Riding association.

Working with non-profits is important to Eric, and he wants to develop software designed to meet their needs for community education on the internet as well as fully take advantage of existing web technologies; to that end, he plans to attend Georgian College in Barrie to pursue Computer Programming. He comes by his interests honestly: both his parents have degrees in education, and his grandfather was a NASA and Air Force engineer who became responsible for upgrading the Ontario Power grid from analog to digital.

Eric’s first brush with democracy was at a young age, when his parents took him and his six siblings to the polls, and he has been hooked ever since.  He enjoys engaging his peers in political discussions and empowering youth so they feel their vote makes a difference. In his spare time, Eric enjoys cycling, running, and reading with a cup of hot chocolate or herbal tea.
