Matthew Peloza
Matthew Peloza was born and raised in the southwestern Ontario town of Wallaceburg, where his parents operated a small independent business for nearly 30 years and taught him the value of hard work, dedication and active participation in the community. Matthew is a Certified Managerial Accountant with a London-based company and has lived in the London-Fanshawe community for 3 years now, along with his wife Elizabeth and their three children. In his profession, he is called upon to provide prudent financial direction and strategic insight, both of which are essential requirements for effective government.
Based on his personal and professional experience, Matthew believes that the time has come to invest in a green economy. He believes that the Green Party of Canada is the only party in Canadian politics that understands the importance of weighing the full cost of the decisions we make today. Successive governments have treated the environment as a free resource, and have been running an environmental deficit which future generations will have to pay. Unlike those in government who say that environmental protection is too costly, Matthew strongly believes that the policies of the Green Party are good for the economy as well as the environment.
Matthew knows that we cannot have healthy tomorrow without doing things differently today, but he believes that a greener community is achieved through informed decisions and not through enforced change. His own personal choices include regular use of public transit, as well as being an avid cyclist.
Matthew Peloza wants a better tomorrow, for his family and his community of London-Fanshawe. Through policies which combine fiscal responsibility and environmental sustainability, he believes that the Green Party of Canada will lead Canada toward a future that we all want and can be proud of.
