Greens welcome Ronnie Smith as new Shadow Cabinet Critic for Peace and Security

OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada is pleased to announce that Ronnie Smith has been appointed as the Party’s new Shadow Cabinet Critic for Peace and Security. 

A Theology student in the MDiv program at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and a special needs educator, Ronnie Smith is also currently running as the Green Party of Ontario candidate in Kitchener Centre. Smith has extensive experience in foreign policy studies, and served as Assistant to the Defence Attaché with the Korean Embassy. 

“I am honoured to be asked to serve on Elizabeth May’s Shadow Cabinet,” said Smith. “I look forward to bringing a strong Green voice to our national discourse on global peace and security.”
