(OTTAWA) – The Green Party of Canada congratulates James Beddome for winning the leadership of the Manitoba Green Party in an election held onSaturday November 15, 2014.
Mr. Beddome was leader of the Green Party of Manitoba stepped down to pursue a legal degree.
Also running for the leadership was Kate Storey, an organic farmer from Grandview and Agriculture Critic for the Green Party of Canada.
“I like to extend my congratulations to James Beddome for his victory and look forward to working with him when he is elected to the Manitoba legislature,” said Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Member of Parliament for Saanich-Gulf Islands.
“I also want to thank Kate Storey for running such a positive campaign and recognize her phenomenal commitment to the Manitoba Green’s and the Green Party of Canada.”
