Orangeville Banner Endorses Green candidate Ard Van Leeuwen in Dufferin Caledon
Yesterday (Fri, Oct 10) the Orangeville Banner endorsed Green Party candidate Ard Van Leeuwen running in Dufferin Caledon.
The Banner published extensive coverage of all candidates based on an hour long grilling of each of them by the paper's three-person editorial board. Their conclusion:
"Green Party candidate Ard Van Leeuwen impressed us the most. He brings years of experience in business, an understanding of the riding, knowledge of international affairs and an appreciation of the responsibility that comes from being an elected official.
The party Van Leeuwen represents is working hard to move past its underdog status. Factoring in its inherent “greenness,” the party is promoting a platform that balances fiscal and economic conservatism with an understanding of the role the government plays in the quality of life for Canadians."
This is fantatstic!! Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations to Ard and the entire Green Party team in Dufferin Caledon!

Thanks Jim from Dufferin-Caledon
The Banner's endorsement is a gold star vs a ringing endorsement. Nevertheless, the Banner was by far the most thorough in their election coverage and is not handing out any other recommendations. It's another Green first for our riding.
