Thanks Dave. I had to think hard to answer those...
Question One: How will you deal with situations where the majority of council disagrees with you regarding an issue/situation you are feel passionately about?
I'm used to consensus. Usually, when a group of people are working toward the same objective, they reach a consensus. If anyone has the power to impose an idea, it's probably not a good solution. Not because it's a bad idea, but because it will fail because of lack of support.Question Two: What do you feel were the tree biggest mistakes made in the last election? and more importantly how would you help the GPC improve?
That's the Campaign Committee's job, and they have done it: look at the Campaign Plan 2009. It makes sense to me.
Question Three: What is the goal of the Green Party of Canada?
Getting candidates elected in order to advance the Greens principles.Question Four: What is the goal of the Federal Council?
Provide logistics to achieve 3).
Finally, Question Five: How will you recognize when its time to push an issue and when it is time to pull together for the team?
The goal never justifies the means. The process is often as important as the issue if you want to make real progress. Back to question 1 !- Eric Madelein's blog
