July 31st Grand Prizes:

To the ridings that have increased membership most between June 1 and July 31, dinner in your EDA cooked by Elizabeth May. One prize to the riding with the highest net growth in absolute numbers; one prize to the riding with the highest percentage growth.

To each of the second-place ridings in the two categories (absolute numbers and percentage growth), one free registration at the BGM.

To each of the third-place ridings in the two categories (absolute numbers and percentage growth), a dvd of The Inconvenient Truth and ten Green Party lapel pins.

Caveats:

  • No single EDA is eligible to win more than two top prizes. In the event that one EDA earns first place in three of the competitions, the first-place prize will be given to the second-place finisher in the third competition, and it will receive the second-place prize.
  • In the event that an EDA is both numerical and percentage winner for any of the competitions, the lesser-value prize will be given to the second-place finisher in the category in which that prize is awarded. For instance, if Ottawa Centre were both absolute and percentage winner for the competition between June 16 and June 30, they would earn First Prize, and Second Prize would go to the EDA with the second-highest growth in absolute numbers.
  • In the event of a tie for a first-place prize, or a second-place Grand Prize, the riding with the higher percentage increase, or the higher absolute number, will win the top prize. The other will win the second-place prize.
