ARISE Technologies is a classic entrepreneurial story. It began in 1996, when Ian and Cathy Maclellan and two UW engineers set to work in their home to develop photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies.  Their goal has always been to bring solar technology to homes, fields, offices and industrial buildings in Canada.
