Telephone Voter Identification - Campaign Team

Objective: 

To make “cold calls” to encourage voters to vote GPC during a Federal General Election Campaign   (unlimited volunteer numbers)

Duties / Responsibilities: 

Using list of names from GRIMES and a prepared, telephone solicitation script,  telephone and communicate encouragement for voters to support GPC for the duration of the Federal General Election Campaign.

  • Report volunteer work hours on a regular basis
  • Commitment to the Six Guiding Principles of the Green Party of Canada.
  • Adherence to the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
  • Must not be a member of another federal political party.
Qualifications / Skills: 

Good telephone manner with excellent English communication skills essential to represent the GPC in a positive light. Knowledge of GPC policy an asset.  Bilingualism would be an asset.  Experience with telephone appeal work preferred but not necessary.  Good sense of judgment. Attention to detail.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Team player.

Time & Location: 

Strong preference for calls to be made from GP office to encourage “team building” opportunities.    Calls to be made during afternoon and evening hours.  After initial orientation / training, calls could be made from home with recommendation to use free long distance telephone service available through computers (to free up GPC office phones to be used alternatively.)

Orientation / Training: 

General orientation to the GPC Office by the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources. Training, telephone solicitation script and supervision provided by designated member of the Campaign Team.
