The summer job season is here, and students are struggling to find work.
207,000 people in Canada lost their jobs last month, and almost half were youth. In this third wave of the pandemic, many sectors that students rely on for jobs remain closed.
Pandemic student relief through the return of the Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB), will help ensure that students don’t fall through the cracks. Without it, many students will have no income this summer and will go back to studies this September with even more debt.
