YOU MUST RSVP by July 18th Wendy and Vince Kennedy at wenwayken@cogeco.ca
You are invited to the First Annual Leeds-Grenville Federal Green Party Electoral District Association Summer Event, between 2 and 5 pm on Sunday 20th of July. This year it will be held at Anstace and Larry Esmonde-White's Country Garden, Kemptville as an elegant Summer Wine Luncheon.
This award-winning Garden was the site of the long-running, much-loved PBS gardening show "Anstace and Larry," and has been a featured stop on many garden tours in the Ottawa and upper New York area. Of particular interest are the water garden, the elaborately sculpted hedges, the different vistas, and a breath-taking traditional English hedge maze, modelled on a famous 18th century original. We are grateful for the generosity of Anstace and Robin Esmonde-White in offering this one-of- a-kind opportunity for local Green Party members and supporters and hope you will manage to attend! You will also be able to meet our federal candidate Jeanie Warnock.
Please bring a Pot Luck dish for 6 persons that is one of: salad; cheeses; sandwiches; pasta; cooked meats; or dessert. Please also bring a nice Green recyclable bag with your own wine or other personal beverages, wine glasses, cutlery and place settings. While there will be some seating provided, please feel free to bring a lawn chair, mosquito
repellent and sun screen. Summer hats and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged.
Tables, chairs, condiments, juices, water and soft drinks, breads with butter and margarine, garbage and recycling receptacles, and soft background music will be provided.
This event is open to all members and supporters of the Leeds-Grenville Green Party EDA. It is free, but attendance must be confirmed by RSVP. to Wendy and Vince Kennedy at wenwayken@cogeco.ca by 18 July. Please indicate who is coming, and what type of food you will be bringing.
Our Candidate, Ms. Jeanie Warnock, will be addressing us. There will be a call for tax deductible donations to the EDA at the event, so please consider donating. As well, attendees will be able to indicate how they may wish to assist the EDA in the upcoming federal election with volunteer effort.
