Celebrate Earth Hour on March 27th with Georges Laraque, John Gray, Bill Deverell, Elizabeth May and Adriane Carr at a very special event at a very special home in Vancouver.
I am thrilled to invite you to spend Earth Hour with me and a truly remarkable group of people at the home of dear friends of mine in Vancouver, BC.
Just imagine…spending Earth Hour this year in the company of an NHL hockey star, award-winning playright, award-winning author, and the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Canada?
Hockey star Georges Laraque is a new Green Party convert.
Although Georges is famous as a tough guy in the NHL, he is deeply committed to animal rights and humanitarian causes, including relief efforts for Haiti. News headlines describe him as “the enforcer with a soft heart.” (If you think a vegan diet cannot support a healthy professional athlete you have to meet Georges!)
Georges was released by the Montreal Canadiens in January of this year, and a few weeks later joined the Green Party in a press conference with me in Montreal. He said, “I want to be part of a group that is working to build a society that is more just, more healthy, and more in harmony with the environment.”
It’s thrilling to have “The Enforcer” on our team!
We’ll also be joined by award-winning playright John Gray and award-winning author Bill Deverell.
John Gray, founder of Tamahnous Theatre, was made an Officer of the Order of Canada for his incredible contribution to Canada’s cultural landscape. He wrote and composed Billy Bishop Goes to War, six other musicals including 18 Wheels, Rock and Roll, Don Messer’s Jubilee, Health, Amelia and The Tree, The Tower, The Flood, as well as a series of thriller novels .
Award-winning author Bill Deverell, who recently toured Canada with me showcasing his novel Snow Job, in which the fictional leader of the Green Party of Canada wins a seat in the House of Commons for a Gulf Islands riding, will be joining us, too!
Register now to spend an incredible evening on March 27 with this remarkable group of guests, my Deputy Leader Adriane Carr, and myself. We have a limited number of spots left.
