The Special General Meeting (SGM) has been called for December 3-4th, 2016, and will be held at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta.
What is included in the SGM attendance fee?
The attendance fee covers only the cost of facilities and equipment for the weekend. Meals and accommodation are not included, although coffee and tea will be available throughout the weekend.

Best Western Village Park Inn
The Green Party has partnered with the Village Park Inn to provide a special discounted rate to SGM attendees. The Inn is located just fifteen minutes away from the SAIT campus via public transit at 1804 Crowchild Trail Northwest. Rooms are $109/night, and include two queen sized beds and a complimentary hot buffet breakfast.
To book a room at our special discounted rate, please call the Village Park Inn at 403-289-0241 and mention that you are booking with the Green Party of Canada. Please note that the deadline to make reservations is November 2nd.
SAIT Residences
On campus accommodation is also available in limited quantities. SAIT offers two bedroom suites, complete with private bathroom and kitchen, for $125/night. More details on these rooms available here. SAIT provides a free breakfast to guests, as well as parking if requested.
To book a suite on the SAIT campus, please fill out the reservation form and be sure to identify your group as “Green Party of Canada”.

Please note that Via Rail does not offer rail service direct to Calgary — the closest station is in Edmonton, AB.
To utilize the discount code online, you must log in to your profile, or create one prior to booking. On the Passenger information screen, select "Convention fare" from the “Discount Type” drop-down menu, and enter the discount code for your convention or event in the “Discount code” field. The conference fare will be shown on the next page.
Travelling by Car & Parking
For those travelling to the SGM by car, Google Maps directions to the SAIT campus can be found here. For those who choose to stay at the Best Western Village Park Inn, surface parking is complimentary. Attendees staying in residence accommodations on the SAIT campus may request parking passes when they make their reservations.
