The party needs to step back from micromanaging EDA's. If I am elected, I intend to redirect focus towards giving EDA's more support.
The plan would be to set up a Google doc or something similar where the party can contribute suggestions on how to fundraise, set up AGM, ect. Technically, we already have some of these resources, but accessing them is near impossible. Increasing accessibility would go a long way to help EDAs build a strong Green presence during and off election season. Our EDA'S know their community's issues; the party needs to put more faith in them for building connections with different groups within their communities.
Also, I would also like to make templates for succession planning to help EDA'S plan for if and when executive members step down, particularly CEOs and FAs whitch are mandatory positions.
In addition, because the party leaves its membership in the dark too often, implementation of a report about what the Federal Council approves/disapproves after each meeting should be
enstated. Council meetings should always be open to the membership as well; we're always talking about how our government needs to be more transparent, so why isn't our council more doing just that? I'm the CEO of my local EDA and we always open the executive meeting to the local membership; there's no excuse why any other cannot do the same.
