Phase 2 of the Green Party of Canada’s Virtual General Meeting (VGM) will be held from Friday, March 25th to Sunday, March 27th, 2022. We are excited to connect with you and all of our fellow Greens, to showcase how Green participatory democracy makes us different from everyone else.
Our team of moderators and facilitators will be with you through every step of the meeting, our interim Leader and elected MPs will be giving a keynote, and we’ll have two streams this time: Motion Development and Green Talks. Motion Development will include a continuation of our green-lit motions from the Phase 1 VGM, going through the proposals for Constitutional Amendments, Bylaw Amendments, Directives and Policy. The plan for Sunday is to workshop as many yellow-lit motions as time allows. We will first address any green-lit motions carried over from Saturday, and then we will start workshopping yellow-lit motions. Green Talks will include a number of fantastic panels on a variety of interesting topics.
We want this General Meeting to demonstrate how we, as Greens, can disagree and debate respectfully while remaining unified around our common goals. Our team will be available throughout the weekend to assist you with concerns.

We’re doing things a bit differently for this General Meeting, including pay-what-you-can pricing!
You can register for the General Meeting without paying anything, but we’d like to encourage you to show your appreciation for this approach by contributing a bit more which will allow many Greens to participate in a General Meeting for the first time. We’ve even designed some Green packages to thank you for your generosity.

If you did not attend Phase 1 of the VGM but want to attend Phase 2, the registration deadline will be March 23rd.
