End Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) in Canada’s trade agreements

We must demand that free trade does not restrict our sovereign right to protect our land, air, and water.

We got these anti-democratic trade provisions out of NAFTA / USMCA but Canada is about to sign over sovereignty again in the new Trans-Pacific Partnership!

The Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will soon to be ratified by the Liberal government. The time to act is now. These unjust trade dispute settlement mechanisms — which have already cost Canadian taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars — must be scrapped.
