Affordable
Housing
We will make the largest investment in public housing since the 1970s, and clamp down on big investors driving up prices.
Learn MoreI feel that people have been frustrated with the political system for years and with good reason: our representatives have failed at their primary function. The reason I want to get into this world is because I want to change it. I want to make government work for the majority of Canadians again, not the very few at the top. I want to be part of a movement that will make Canada a better place for everyone.
Currently, I am a student at Dawson College working part-time as a valet at a local restaurant. As a student, I have learned a lot about the value of making genuine connections with real people and what they care about. Not everyone is the same, people cannot be reduced to numbers and statistics. If you want to understand people and work with them, you have to spend the time to get to know them. As a part-time worker in the service industry, I am far more familiar with the experience of most working-class Canadians than out-of-touch career politicians such as Pierre Poilievere. I have also learned the immense value of small to our economy; a value that far outweighs that of major corporations that exist solely to funnel money to the very top.
Despite only working part-time, I have become one of two valet coordinators, having worked alongside the owner and managers to introduce the service and train/manage staff under me. This has given me very valuable experience when it comes to managing people and the assertiveness needed to do so.
If I am elected, I hope to end the cycle of career politicians who represent their own portfolios and corporate sponsors rather than their constituents. I would make it my life’s mission to advocate for new restrictions on members’ conflicts of interest. Canadians deserve real representation – MPs who own rental properties and trade individual stocks cannot accomplish this. My vision for Canada is that of one where everyone has a real and genuine opportunity to succeed, where the economy is dominated by small businesses and where the working and middle class are encouraged to succeed. My vision of Canada is one where those who have the most pay their fair share. My vision is of the best nation in the world.
