A passionate environmentalist for all his life, Andrew was inspired to run to represent Whitby after moving to the town in 2022, putting down roots, seeing the community spirit, and realizing the opportunity he had to serve.

Whitby is a beautiful riding filled with nature and the best of what Canada has to offer, and Andrew wants to make sure that whatever challenges the nation faces, Whitby always has a role and a say in the outcome.  Andrew’s goal for the riding is not just the promotion of environmental causes, but also championing the entire Green platform – growing the community as a place to live, work, learn, and play.

As a corporate lawyer and the principal of his own law firm, Andrew practices for individuals and small businesses with a focus on technology start-ups and creatives’ enterprises.  Andrew also donates as much time as he can to supporting Ontario charities and not-for-profits to give back to the community with his profession.  With his background in computer sciences before entering the law, Andrew has used his technical expertise to ensure all his clients are given the highest standard of professional service.

Working with environmental, social and technology non-profits has kept Andrew on top of the latest developments in these areas and he firmly believes Canada has an incredible opportunity today to rebuild itself with green technology.  Ontario has already taken the lead in transforming its energy sector into one of the greenest in the world. Andrew believes that Ontario’s approach can work for all of Canada – and that the people and industries in Whitby and the Durham region have the experience, expertise and people to help Ontario bring its approach to the nation.

Andrew’s interest and support of the Green Party has always been rooted in the firm belief that the Green Party of Canada is ready to lead in the future that Canada can build.  The Green platform has always been based in sound science, good economics, and social policies that uphold individual freedoms balanced with social responsibility.  Most importantly, the platform has always given environmental concerns the proper weight and consideration, something lacking from other national parties.

For Andrew, the Green platform means a strong, self-reliant economy built on a thriving, healthy natural environment; keeping Canadians happy, healthy, and employed for generations in a country that uses its resource wealth intelligently and sustainably.  In an increasingly uncertain world – both rocked by the effects of climate change and geopolitical uncertainty – redeveloping Canada into a self-sustaining nation makes sense in every way and Andrew believes the Green platform is the best path to that goal.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
