I am a lifelong Winnipegger and a proud Green Party candidate running to bring real change to Winnipeg South Centre. I’ve been happily married for 27 years to my wonderful wife, Tammy, and together we’ve had the honour of raising our 23-year-old daughter, Elise.

Much of my career has been in the retail and manufacturing sectors, most recently with Safeway/Sobeys. There, I also served as a Shop Steward with UFCW Local 832, advocating for fairness in the workplace and supporting my fellow employees.

I attended Dakota Collegiate, and like many Canadians, I know that real-life experience often teaches us more than textbooks. I’ve seen firsthand how families in Winnipeg are struggling to make ends meet—juggling rising rents, growing grocery bills, and unaffordable health care costs.

I feel particularly strongly about several key issues:

– Tackling the climate crisis head-on with real investments in clean energy, green jobs, and sustainability. We are already experiencing the rising costs and effects of climate change—inaction is no longer an option.

– Modernizing our broken electoral system by replacing First-Past-the-Post with proportional representation, so every vote truly counts.

Every Canadian deserves the opportunity to live a good life—regardless of age or income. That’s why I will fight to:

– Create universal, affordable child care
– Make post-secondary education tuition-free
– Introduce a Guaranteed Livable Income to ensure no one is forced to live in poverty

People with disabilities deserve respect, opportunity, and real support—not just promises. I will:

– Fix the Disability Tax Credit to make it accessible
– Fully fund the Canada Disability Benefit to end disability poverty
– Enforce strong protections for disabled workers across the country

I bring lived experience, a deep connection to the community, and a belief that Canada can—and must—do better.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
