I come from a working-class family. My father works in manufacturing, and my mother works in retail. I’ve seen my mother bounce from one retail job to another, with few employers willing to pay a living wage.

I’ve watched my father break his body to ensure our family could live a good life. These experiences have taught me resilience and independence, but they’ve also shown me the deep injustices in our society.

I see firsthand how Trump’s destructive tariffs threaten the livelihoods of working Canadians. I’ve worked in retail for many years myself, and for the past two and a half years, I’ve been studying early childhood education. As a young person attending college, I’ve seen classmates and friends commute for hours just to attend class because housing is simply too expensive.

Working in childcare centres, I’ve met parents who rely on $10-a-day childcare just to get by. I’ve worked alongside educators who have urged me to leave the field—because we do not pay them nearly what their work is worth. I’ve watched my mother cycle through temporary jobs as our economy continues to stagnate to unacceptable levels.

I also see the rising threats to Canada’s sovereignty—threats we haven’t faced in decades. I believe we cannot afford another four years of Liberal government, and we cannot risk a Conservative return to power. We need a government that works for the people—a government powered by the people. A government that will fight for a Canada that forges its own path.

I see people around me struggling to make ends meet, unsure if they can afford to feed both themselves and their children. I’ve seen every other major political party fail them. But I believe, with all my heart, that the Green Party of Canada has what it takes to stand up for the people of this province—and for people across the country.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
