I’m Greg Taylor, an educator and wildlife photographer from Barrie, Ontario. Throughout my career in education, I’ve worked to develop and inspire the next generation of citizens by encouraging students to care not only about their own futures but also about the issues affecting the world around them.

When I’m not in a formal educational setting, I often find myself with a camera in hand, photographing the natural world both nationally and internationally. As a photographer, my primary goal is to inspire people to take care of the planet’s natural places and support those in need.

As a Barrie resident, I have been involved in volunteer work to help local organizations like the Barrie Food Bank and international humanitarian organizations that support children in developing nations. I have also been a member of the Barrie Photo Club for more than a decade.

I am deeply grateful for being Canadian and for the opportunities this country has given me. I share a love for Canada’s natural beauty, its sports, and its arts, and I firmly believe in the incredible potential of our nation. I also share the concerns of most Canadians regarding the threats from the Trump administration. However, I believe that key issues like the climate crisis and the rising cost of living must be addressed simultaneously, seriously, and without further delay.

In this campaign, I aim to explain why we need a “Team Canada” approach to tackling the challenges posed by the Trump administration, while ensuring that other pressing issues also receive the attention they deserve. I believe the world is facing a range of national and international crises that are often interconnected and require comprehensive solutions. Additionally, I have a central goal of making electoral reform a ballot box issue for more people to help address our democratic deficits and related concerns. I believe that the primary goal of a Member of Parliament is to meet the needs of their constituents, rather than serve the agenda of a political party. As such, I will always view my constituents as my primary focus.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
