I was born in Ottawa, raised in Kanata, back when the caboose in Bells Corners was a treat for a birthday celebration. I grew up biking around Beaverbrook and Katimavik, along those awesome paths that still wind around homes today.

I am a veteran, having served the Canadian Armed Forces for over 23 years, doing everything from treating patients in the field, to budgeting millions of dollars in medical spending, to disaster planning, and more. After I left the military, I opened my own small business, a medical clinic, in Kanata. When the pandemic hit, I worked at the COVID clinic on Moodie Drive, assessing people who were the sickest I had ever seen before in my life.

I worked there until May 2022, because, at the end of June, I had triplets! So I’ve been very busy since then, but staying involved with the Green Party as Health and now Defence Shadow Cabinet critic has been extremely important to me.
I ran federally in 2019 and 2021, and just ran in the provincial election too. As an introvert, I find it definitely challenging, but it is incredibly important. The climate crisis is worsening. There are so many other important issues, whether it is affordability, housing, the economy, and a lack of rigour when it comes to implementing calls to action from Truth and Reconciliation and the MMIWG reports. Furthermore, the Liberal government is at risk legally, and it has failed ethically and morally by refusing to follow international law and to recognize the state of Palestine. Finally, if the climate crisis wasn’t enough of an existential threat, we now have a threat to our sovereignty and our economy from the USA.

This moment in Canada’s history requires an all-hands-on-deck approach. It requires a leader, a visionary, and one who works well with others, regardless of their political affiliation. Thanks to my broad experience in the Forces, as a small business owner, and as a physician, I am the right candidate for this moment in Canada’s history. I am ready to serve.
