Karleigh Csordas

I currently work as a customer success manager for a local tech company. I have a degree in kinesiology, a post-graduate diploma, and, like many people getting started, still struggle with affordability and putting a roof over my head. My experience in the healthcare sector showed me first-hand the many challenges for workers and people in the healthcare system. I am running for my second time with the Green Party of Canada, in addition to two runs with the Green Party of Ontario, because the struggle is real – and we have to do something about it!

I am a passionate advocate for building a more sustainable, inclusive, and connected community. As an active community volunteer, I thrive to foster spaces where every voice is heard and valued by being inclusive by nature. My dedication to advocating for environmental stewardship, affordable housing, and equitable healthcare stems from listening to community members and striving to address their concerns.

As a member of the Environmental and Sustainability Policy Advisory Committee in Brantford, I worked together with community members to successfully petition the city council to declare a climate emergency. With the Brantford Green Team, I champion event waste diversion at Brantford’s Canada Day festival and other community events. As an entrepreneur, I continue to promote zero waste products and practical advice to reduce our individual impact at home.

With a deep understanding of the Green Party’s vision, I believe in creating real solutions that prioritize people and the planet. I support transitioning to a green economy by investing in clean energy and sustainable jobs, addressing the housing crisis through affordable and community-focused development, and improving access to healthcare and social services for all.

I am committed to advocating for policies that reflect these priorities while championing the values of collaboration and care. Together, we can create a brighter, more resilient future for the Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations – one where every resident feels heard, supported, and empowered to make a difference.
