With over 16 years working in Surrey as a social worker and a leader with Fraser Health, I am a dedicated advocate for immigration, timely healthcare, social justice, environmental sustainability, and affordable housing.
My campaign focuses on building off the strengths of the people of Surrey-Newton by encouraging more timely healthcare, by providing training to recent immigrants trained as medical professionals in other countries, promoting employment and training programs for recent immigrants, revitalizing Surrey-Newton by promoting small family owned businesses, ensuring peace and security by enhancing community connections along with building a strong relationship with local law enforcement. Lastly, making sure that the safety of Surrey-Newton residents and our planet comes before profit, ensuring that future generations inherit a cleaner and safer community.
More about me, I immigrated to Canada from the United States in 2008 and I am now proud to be a citizen of this great country. Before immigrating to Canada, I served in the military with the United States Marine Corps, where I learned the importance of commitment, integrity, leadership, and community service.
I hold a master’s degree in social work as well as a master’s degree in public administration. I co-founded a successful health clinic in Vancouver (Inspirit Health Group); I am also a therapist in private practice, university faculty instructor, tackle football coach, and a proud father.
I am excited to work with all of you and thankful for the opportunity to lead this amazing community in a sustainable way.
