Affordable
Housing
We will make the largest investment in public housing since the 1970s, and clamp down on big investors driving up prices.
Learn MoreWe can build healthy, equitable communities by supporting individuals and small businesses, facilitating local agriculture, incentivizing buying local, and cutting harmful corporate subsidies. With a foundation in earth sciences and experience as a municipal councillor, I am ready to advocate federally for the needs of my community and help cultivate a brighter future.
With a BSc Eng and an MSc in Geology, along with 15 years in the resource industry, my background in geosciences gives me a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of Earth’s systems and humanity’s impact on them. Standing at the crossroads of climate change, mass extinction, and plastic pollution—and as a parent of two young children—I felt compelled to run for office and be part of the change. As a municipal councillor for the District of Squamish, I played a key role in bringing the Sue Big Oil campaign to Squamish, successfully opposing a proposed pipeline work camp within our district, and strongly advocating for gender equity and individual rights over government overreach.
Working with a supportive council and dedicated municipal staff has deepened my understanding of the fundamental challenges threatening the future of Canadians. The revolving door between industry and government, invitations to fossil fuel-sponsored events for elected officials, and the extensive subsidies enabling fossil fuel expansion at the provincial and federal levels have made one thing clear: our problems are deeply systemic. Public funds should not be used to subsidize corporations while people continue to suffer from wealth disparity and political instability.
While upper levels of government continue to subsidize big industry, municipalities are left to bear the cost of the mental health and housing crises—on top of managing rapid growth—with minimal additional support. Even more alarming is the fact that climate change adaptation and mitigation measures are falling to municipalities, while the federal and provincial governments actively undermine these efforts by expanding and subsidizing fossil fuel infrastructure, directly contradicting scientific consensus. This creates an unsustainable financial burden on municipalities, leading to ever-increasing property taxes to cover costs that should be funded by higher levels of government, which collect significant revenue from personal and corporate taxes.
As your MP, I will have one goal: to create a brighter, more sustainable future for our community. I will advocate federally for:
– Social and economic equity, particularly for marginalized groups and women
– Food security and the promotion of local agriculture
– Higher taxes for large corporations
– Incentives for small businesses
– Environmental stewardship and a just green economy transition
– Electoral reform
– The elimination of fossil fuel subsidies
Locally, my goal is to increase prosperity in the riding by using my platform to connect people and businesses in the WV-SC-STSC region who are committed to positive transformation.
A brighter future is possible—when we support each other through community.
