Naomi Hunter is the Leader of the Saskatchewan Green Party and is someone who understands the strong ties that Saskatchewan people have to their rural roots, even when they live in the city. Naomi Hunter was born in Turtleford, Saskatchewan and grew up in northern Saskatchewan.

She runs the family haskap farm with her father in the summer, near Prince Albert. During the rest of the year, she owns and operates a retail store in the Riversdale District in Saskatoon and sells custom-made sterling silver jewelry throughout Saskatchewan. Having been self-employed most of her adult life.

Naomi has a strong understanding of the struggles small business owners face. She is committed to providing support for small business owners as they struggle with rising costs, stringent taxation and increasing competition from big corporations like Amazon and Loblaws. Community involvement is an important part of Naomi’s life and always has been. Everything from pancake breakfasts to park cleanups, to helping people move into safe housing, Naomi is there, rolling up her sleeves and helping others.

Naomi and her children were the first people living full-time at the Craik Sustainable Living Project. They lived off grid in a Mongolian yurt with a solar panel for power through a bitterly cold Saskatchewan winter. Demonstrating that green values and ideas can practically be applied in our climate on the prairies was an important educational tool. Naomi Hunter is the representative we all wish we had. Her very identity is all about being approachable, responsive – and effective. She is also a powerful voice against injustice and environmental irresponsibility.

She has organized many protests, petitions and events throughout her life. Reach out today. Naomi would love to hear from you. She personally answers all her own messages, emails and phone calls. She looks forward to helping the residents of Saskatoon West with measures to counteract the significant issues of poverty, homelessness and addictions that the riding is suffering from. She is looking forward to representing you and appreciates your support.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
