Hello, I’m Patrick Novak, running for the Green Party in Vancouver Granville. I’m a scientist, business leader, and father, deeply committed to our community and the environment.
With over three decades in chemistry and biology, I’ve driven sustainable innovation, leading startups and winning awards for environmental work. As president, I have developed technologies prioritizing sustainability and supporting local, female-led initiatives. Previously, I led award-winning initiatives at an environmental testing company. From youth, I’ve been active in civic engagement, from voter rights to anti-war protests, and helped elect Melanie Mark, the first female First Nations member of the BC Parliament.
I’m a lifelong learner with degrees in Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science, and proficiency in French and Czech. I’ve completed MIT’s Blockchain Technology Certificate and volunteered as a tax preparer, bringing diverse skills to policy. I’ve planted over a million trees and led environmental associations, showing hands-on commitment.
As a father, I’m motivated to ensure a sustainable world for my children. If elected, I’ll be the first Green Party MP for this riding, bringing green ideals to the mainstream. In Parliament, I’ll fight for climate action, green jobs, and social justice, addressing local issues like safety through inclusive policies, ensuring affordable housing and healthcare.
