Remi arrived in Langenburg, Saskatchewan in June 2022, from Kenora Ontario. Since arriving, he has licenced his business in two Communities, Langenburg and Grenfell Saskatchewan. He took part in the Black Lives Matter awareness, and will stand up for justice and equity, always. His commitment to Communities begins with living here, interacting with people, and the environment. Remi believes that natural resources, that Land, and People are respected for future generations is priority.
Remi served in other communities in 1985, always being involved wherever he lived. Having a strong commitment for people, to see affordable housing for all, to end homelessness, equality, and equity of life. Remi’s values are rooted in the ‘First People of Turtle Islands’ traditions and ancestry, consistently following the Seven Sacred teachings. His motto is ‘For Humanitarian Concerns’ and does inspires to lead by example.
Remi has attained multiple university equivalent certifications, in a variety of fields, learning his first trade at age 14 and his newest one in 2015. He has always worked in the public eye, being in property maintenance after his first trade. Presently involved in multiple organizations for Housing and Energy Efficiency fields. He is multi-generational Military Veteran, willingly to protect the nation he is part of.
Remi, passion of justice for all, worked to ‘build bridges’ between cultures and ethnicities. Remi is an advocate to healing, and equal recognition of First People of Turtle Island as a Nation. Remi has been advocating for the Rights of seniors, Veterans and spouses Rights, Liveable Guaranteed Income, Housing, and the protection of Mother Earth.
Remi is new member in the Saskatchewan Green Party, although he has followed the party’s policies since its foundation. His commitment to serve is based on his personal research on what the Saskatchewan Green Party stands for, and to help accomplish that for all people.
Remi is not afraid to ‘roll up his sleeves and get busy’. Because his culture was denied to him as a youth, he has returned to learning First Nation’s Spiritual Culture for last 3 decades. Doing so, he describes himself a “Free Range Indian” being of indigenous heritage, and not being status. He is respectful of all religious and lifestyle choices, with a passion to see all people live full and fulfilled lives.
