Graduate University of Winnipeg 1978 BA major in theatre

Hi, I’m a farmer (organic), I manage the land my Great Grandfather purchased which makes it a heritage farm. While I have spent most of my life on the farm I have also enjoyed a rich and rewarding life in televise where I was a studio director and also produced and directed a number of documentaries. My experience has also found me working in film and theatre.

For well over a decade I was an EVOC (emergency vehicle operator course) instructor, teaching such agency as the California Highway Petrol, (CHIPS), Toronto Metro Police, RCMP, ambulance services, and the general public.

I was a member of a moderately successful Celtic band Ard-ri, playing as far away as, the high Arctic, USA, and Quebec city.

Written and performed 7 one man fringe shows, which includes a 2 week run in Adelaide Aus.
Member of the National Farmers Union (NFU).
Competed at the Canadian National Hang Gliding Championships.

I would call myself a social democrat, which to me means that I recognize that I live within a social structure and that when we are faced with a problem we come together collectively to both define the problem, and fine a worthy path forward, in a good way. I recognize that life is movement, and that we, amongst all living things, have a unique ability to influence the course of this movement. Politics for me, is about how we chose to look after one another, and this planet that we, and all life, share. This is our primary responsibility, the monetary economy must come second to the needs of a living world. As people wiser than myself have noted, “you can’t eat money”.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
