Affordable
Housing
We will make the largest investment in public housing since the 1970s, and clamp down on big investors driving up prices.
Learn MoreWith the many changes and growing awareness sweeping across our country, the rhetoric from our immediate neighbor, and the increasingly urgent societal issues we face, I felt it was essential to make sense of these transformations. And I found my answer.
My name is Yanick Lapierre, and I am the Green Party of Canada candidate for the Bécancour-Nicolet-Saurel-Alnôdak riding in Quebec.
I am the Executive Director of a non-profit organization, the Association régionale de loisir pour personnes handicapées du Centre-du-Québec (ARLPHCQ). Our mission is to make recreational activities accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities in our region through various initiatives and partnerships with local stakeholders.
From a young age, I have always had a strong desire to serve my community. I started by volunteering at the hospital in my hometown, later joined organizing committees for local events, and eventually served on several non-profit boards dedicated to defending the rights and supporting people with disabilities and those in vulnerable situations. I am convinced that mutual aid and support are essential to the well-being of our communities.
As someone already working closely with the residents of this riding, I am fully aware of the challenges they face. It is time to act and implement a transition toward a sustainable and promising future for all. This is not just about thinking of tomorrow, but about our children and future generations.
In this beautiful riding, bordered by the St. Lawrence River and Lake Saint-Pierre, we must balance economic development with environmental protection. I want to initiate a dialogue about the impacts of large industrial projects on our waters and lands so that, together, we can implement solutions that are both effective and respectful of our collective well-being.
Although I am not a resident of this riding, my commitment remains unwavering. I will continue to be present and fully dedicated to representing the interests of its citizens.

On April 28, I am voting GREEN!
