BE IT RESOLVED that the Green Party of Canada will
1. Repeal the Policy ‘1988 Child care’ in acknowledgement of recent research finding potential detrimental consequences of daycare under the age of three.
2. Advocate that the Government of Canada take steps to minimize the need for daycare before the age of three by enabling families to take care of their own children before that age,
3. And allocate federal childcare funding to a diversity of regulated, high quality, non-profit programmes for families with pre-school children.
