Frédéric Morin-Paquette grew up in the Outaouais region, from elementary school in Rapide-Deschênes to Cégep de l’Outaouais. Like many, he pursued his post-secondary studies in Montreal, before graduating from teaching.

Even then, his commitment to and sensitivity to the environment was expressed through various projects, such as an interdisciplinary art video designed to raise awareness of pollution on Montreal streets. In 2024, he returned from a two-year stay in British Columbia, where he worked as an elementary school teacher in an international French-language school. There too, he was able to promote his ideas on sustainable development, particularly through our daily gestures and lifestyles. He enjoys running, playing the piano, outdoor activities and simply cultivating his garden! Currently working as a fifth-grade teacher at École Internationale du Mont-Bleu, he takes advantage of this stimulating work environment to initiate various ecological projects and share them online with the community of education professionals because he takes our collective future to heart.

For him, the principles of social justice and climate justice are two sides of the same major challenge of this century, namely the climate crisis. But far from giving in to depression and defeatism, he believes in action, in the community and in altruism, and proposes a thoughtful, balanced yet bold program. “It is still possible to reduce the impact of climate change through reasonable, fiscally responsible, zero-cost measures, and thus enable us to live better without spending more. Let’s stop doubting our ability to shine from one end of the country to the other and take action!”

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
