Six people of diverse backgrounds in a collaborative protest, surrounding a circle saying "Change, Vote for it".

For 17 years I have owned and worked for an architecture firm that focuses on environmentally sustainable design. We have done a lot of work that I am proud of; we have created great spaces to live in that have a very low impact on the environment, and we just keep getting better.

But I can see that my work, one building at a time, is not making a dent in the problem.  I can see that we need a vision for Canada, and it needs input from people like me, with firsthand experience.

Only the Green Party understands that climate action is not an “issue”; it’s the way we do everything else: it’s emission-free buildings, it’s planning healthcare for hotter weather, it’s electrifying transportation and making green power. The idea that we need to take care of our environment as the foundation of our lives and our economy is central to our actions.

It’s not possible to compromise with Mother Nature. Canadians will lose. The Green Party may be small, but we are a vital part of the discussion around the environment. That discussion is critical to the future of Canada.   If Greens work hard and focus on how Canada can benefit from the change, we can make a difference.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
