My name is Melissa Snazell. I work as a pharmacy technician. I am a mother of an 18-year-old son. I ran as a candidate in the last provincial election for the B.C. Green Party and will be running in the upcoming federal election for the Green Party of Canada. I am working toward a bachelor’s degree in policy and geography. I have lived in the Fraser Valley for 25 years and have been in Aldergrove for the past 12 years.

I am working on my degree in order to put myself in a position to facilitate change. I am interested in geography, the environment and sustainability and hope to learn how policy can help us make the changes necessary to protect our future on this planet. I am new to public service, since I spent many years as a single parent and worked multiple jobs; however, I am determined to be involved now in as many ways as possible.

I believe strongly in the message and platform of the B.C. Green Party and look forward to many years fighting to get more representation into the legislature.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
